Pre-Marital Counseling Process
If you are a Friends attendee and would like pre-marital counseling at Friends Church, please contact Peggy Kasper at 714.777.7312 to schedule your first counseling session.- Your first appointment will be a Pre-Marital Interview with Pastor Chris Boudreau. These appointments are normally scheduled Thursday nights at 7:00pm, Saturday evenings at 5:00pm, and on Sunday mornings. Both you and your fiance must attend each counseling session together.
- Complete the following paperwork and submit it to Peggy Kasper at peggyk@ylfc.org prior to your meeting with Pastor Boudreau:
- After your first meeting with Pastor Boudreau, you and your fiance will meet be asked to take the Prepare Inventory which is a based on a set of five categories which examine major relationship issues a couple may experience. Cost is $35.00 per couple. Checks may be made out to Friends Church. Your inventory will be issued after payment is received.
- The final step is to arrange four, 1-hour, pre-marital counseling sessions with the Pastor to Families or with Mike McMillian of the Center for Individual and Family Therapy.
Pre-Marriage Seminar
The next pre-marriage class will be held Friday and Saturday, June 25th and 26th. This class is recommended for engaged couples or couples thinking about engagement. It is required for all couples seeking to be married by a Friends Pastor or at Friends Church. Cost is $90 per couple. Contact Peggy Kasper at peggyk@ylfc.org.Click here to register.
Weddings at Friends Church
Friends Church would love to be a part of your special day! We offer wedding and reception services for Friends attendees*. If you would like to have your wedding on campus or would like a Friends pastor to perform your wedding, please follow the process outlined below.*You are considered an attendee if you have gone through our Membership process or have attended Friends Church consistently for at least 6 months.
Wedding Process
- You and your fiance must complete a minimum of four pre-marital counseling sessions with either Pastor Chris Boudreau (see Pre-Marital Counseling above), the Center for Individual and Family Therapy (Mike McMillian at 714.558.9266), or a third party of your choosing that meets with Friends approval. As part of our policy, we require proof of pre-marital counseling before a Friends Church Pastor will perform the ceremony.
- Once your counseling is in process and you have been approved to submit your wedding date for consideration, a deposit in the amount of $100 is required to secure our facilities (if applicable). Once the deposit is submitted, we will reserve the date of your choosing, which is subject to availability.
- Once your date is set, your information will be forwarded to our Wedding Coordinator, who will contact you three months prior to your wedding to review details, our wedding process, set-up, rehearsal dates, etc.
Wedding Ceremony Facilities
Members of Friends Church enjoy their choice of two different venues on our church property. A deposit of $100.00 is due at time of reservation, with the balance due one week prior to your rehearsal.Facilities fees include limited decorations (including candelabras, aisle runner, plant pillars, tuling for chair decoration) as well as sound, and facilities set-up etc. (Images on this page are NOT representive of included decorations). If you would like more extensive decorating, our Wedding Coordinator will coordinate building accessibility with external decorators.

Pastors Honorarium
Normally, an Honorarium is given to the Pastor for performing the wedding ceremony and are generally, anywhere from $200-$300 depending on the length of service, location and time invested by your pastor. Honorariums are not set, but decided upon by the couple to be married.Wedding and Reception Coordination
